One of the earliest works published on the bayonet. Stephens created a collecting buzz with his early work on bayonets, something thought of at that time as an accessory stuck on the end of the valuable rifle only. As bayonet collecting came into it's own Stephens was an early supporter of this. This is a book that all the later volumes written were based around.
Book is in excellent condition with some small rips in the dust jacket.
