Here we have a rare one displayed. This is the knife and scabbard presented to the Navy and Marines in the bid to be the new Pilot Survival Knife. We all know the Marbles entry was selected and the rest is history but the Wiggington / Van Orden Survival knife is a bit of a mystery. Having never seen one in person we are relegated to the drawings and photos seen in the official tests. Note the locking scabbard in the drawings.
